The Grand Principality of Copper Village is a town located northwest of Novylen's 14spawn. It houses various structures such as the Copper Statue, as well as various houses that players can claim and decorate the interior as they please. Canonically, the village is a Parliamentary Monarchy and is a Catholic Village due to the Copper Church being a Catholic one (players do not have to be Catholic to enter though, all are welcome! The Catholic part is only a part of the lore) The village holds the Copper Statue as its most important landmark, however it is NOT worshipped as a god or deity and is only a place of founding and honor. Copper is an important resource in the village, as its roads are made up of it. The economy of Copper Village is coal and copper-based, evident from the mine that exists in the village. The village is also new-player friendly, as new players are encouraged to come to the village and either build their homes around it, or claim a house for themselves.

History

2022

On August 7^th, 2022, Breakstuffz would discover a copper statue built by rilelyscastle in the middle of a lake. He would build a house in front of the statue to act as a viewing platform. The viewing station would then promptly be moved to a new location closer to the shoreline as it was too in the way of the statue. This is where it would sit dormant for the next few months until Breakstuffz returned to Novylen in February 2023.

2023

Upon returning, Breakstuffz would decide to expand the island. The meager shop that he owned was torn down, and new condos were built to the left of the house. Then, a circular farm was built to the right of the house. To the south, a lighthouse (Known now as Copper Lighthouse) was built a few days later. The final addition to the island was the making of a new shop area, which sold mediocre items.

In March 2023, Breakstuffz decided to extend his builds outside of the island and into the shoreline. He redid four noob shacks near his island, then connected them together with a road. On Good Friday that year, a Church was built. Even though it was very much in its infancy, Copper Village was born.

At the start of April 2023, Breakstuffz built a 118-block long suspension bridge (Known now as Copper Bridge) connecting the two sides of the lake together, which took three days to build. Afterwards, he redid a noob shack and a larger house on the other side, later converting it into a clock building. On the other side of the lake, the stony shores that used to be there were replaced with moss to give a more lively feel to the village. A windmill was built on the edge of the peninsula, with a wheat farm below it.

Next, Breakstuffz would build nine new homes from the ground up to further expand the village (Fun Fact: when the houses were first built, claimers originally were going to have to pay a one-time price of 3-7p to live in a house, though this was scrapped before the project was fully complete). On the western end of the peninsula, a port was built for ship docking.

On the other side of the shore, five new houses were built. A coal mine was then built, which was separated from the houses by a forest.

The next big project would come in early June 2023 when the Town Hall (Originally called Copper Castle) was built. It currently houses the assistant mayor and the village council. Across from the windmill, a park would be made with Breakstuffz's head on a hill. In between the Town Hall and park, a commercial zone would be made with a Grocery Store, Cinema, Diner, Saloon, Clothing Store, and Library, which was completed in early July. Around this time was when the Copper Canal was built as well.

In August, the next major expansion to the village would be planned on the peninsula's south side, which included bigger homes. The planned fence line would engulf all of the Kingdom of Prussia, as well as a couple noob shacks. A road was built, along with two homes, however construction would stop due to a fatal mistake made by Breakstuffz. In the Novylen rules, griefing is of course banned, however this rule not only includes breaking homes, but remodeling them. Breakstuffz would be banned for the weekend after Doozie found out about what he did, and Copper Village would sit in dust for the next few months until December of that year.

Upon returning, a compromised border was made with Doozie's approval. In it, the fence line would steer away from the noob shack in the center and stick to the coastline. Breakstuffz would finish the homes later that month, along with the Canal Port Zone. Next, the island where everything began was redone to include grass instead of cobblestone, making it look like an actual island and not just a platform, finally including a stargate (dial coppervillage) at the island's south side. Finally, Mt. Banmore (named by rilelyscastle) was made, including the heads of Doozie, rilelyscastle, and Dograffe. With this done, Copper Village was "finished," and another island (Tradition Island) was built to house the opening ceremony on January 3rd, 2024.

2024

That day, the opening ceremony commenced. In it, Breakstuffz talked about the entire history of Copper Village up to that point, ending off with a firework show. Important players such as rilelyscastle, Doozie, and even rbos (who placed a bee spawner, thus forever swarming the village with bees) attended the ceremony. Towards the end, the deed to the Copper Statue was given to Breakstuffz, meaning he could now make changes to the tower if he pleased (as long as he did not change the inside of the head, which currently stores various maparts). Currently, the deed is stored in The Vault, which is located alongside the DEATH BOOK at the Copper Statue's feet.

With the village opened, players could now claim homes for themselves (if they weren't already made by another player before). Notable players like Iord7918, lspiter, eggknob, Persephone_frog, and SWIFTTylerBear each claimed a house of their choosing, in which they could then decorate the empty interior (vacant homes only include a crafting table inside). In a span of two weeks, all houses were claimed, bringing the total population to 29.

For almost a full year, Copper Village would receive little improvement or changes whatsoever, except the remodeling of the Town Hall in June.

In November 2024, a new Amusement Park would be built surrounding Tradition Island. The Amusement park would include games like spleef, boat fishing, parkour race, four corners, and the ant farm parkour course. Rides include the Lighthouse Coaster and the Yeeter. The park officially opened on November 15th, 2024, and has its own dial (dial traditionpark). Copper Railway and the official Copper Village mapart was also made at this time (this was also when the motto of the village was created).

Right after the opening, the first election period would commence for the new assistant mayor position. Iord and lspiter would campaign for the postion, debating in December (Fun Fact: the debate was rescheduled to the next day because Breakstuffz fell asleep and missed it!). Elections started on January 3rd, 2025 and ended January 6th, 2025, in which Iord won the election by one vote. He still serves as the de-facto assistant mayor due to the extension of the term from one year to two years. The Discord server for Copper Village was also created around this time.

2025

After Iord was elected, Copper Village would again go into a dormant state. Throughout the whole year, no changes would be made whatsoever, mainly due to burnout by Breakstuffz. It was only until January of 2026 that any changes would occur.

2026

In January, Breakstuffz would start a major redoing of the village, in which many of its builds had become outdated. First, the wall was torn down, giving the village a more welcoming atmosphere. Then, fifteen new homes would be built, mainly in the Coal Subdivision. Then, the Commercial Area would be updated with new buildings, including a Sheriff's Office, Fire Station, Courthouse, Repair Shop, and later on the new Grocery Store, Schoolhouse, and Vet. Outside the Commercial Area, a hospital and DABANK (a bank) were built. Next, a new major residential area called the Burbs would be created west of the Town Hall in February.

Next, the Cane Patch and the Port would be redone. After this, players were allowed to claim the newly built houses. The Windmill and Church would then be completely redone, updating the design to 1.21.11.The next change was the changing of the canal into a river, turning the peninsula into an island. Breakstuffz would then redo the coal/copper mine and the Town Hall in March, finally completing the modernization of the village.

After this, new dials would be created for different areas of the village. They include:

Next, a new development called the Fuchs Homes would be made south of the river. This development south of the new river includes 21 new medium-sized homes for players to claim, with a more colorful palette than the other homes in the village. It is set to expand west (near the beach) in the near future.

Election System

Elections are held every 2 years for the assistant mayor position. Campaigning starts October 15th, where candidates campaign for the position however they like. 2 debates, one in November and one in December are held in the arena (coppercentre) underneath Iord's condo. On January 3rd of that period, players can vote by renaming an item to the candidate's name and dropping it into a chest at the Town Hall. The candidate with the most votes can become the new assistant mayor. 5 new members of the council are chosen every year on January 15th. Candidates have to submit a resume via book and quill or dm before the deadline. If they are accepted, they will be put into the position.

Things to know about Elections

- Term limit is 2 (4 years) you cannot run again after this

- Assistant Mayors or Council members who misbehave will be voted on and removed via the Mayor and other members of the council (as well as the Assistant mayor if a council member is on the chopping block). If a council member is removed, a player can submit a resume and replace a member on the spot. If the Assistant Mayor is removed, players not in the Council can run with a month-long emergency campaigning time. The voting time period is the exact same.

- If you have been removed from your position, you cannot run nor vote again

- Assistant Mayors have the ability to build embassies outside the village, alongside things in the village with Breakstuffz's approval. Council members can only build embassies outside the village.

Famous Buildings

Copper Statue

The Copper Statue is the structure that started it all. It was built by rilelyscastle when 14spawn was first started in January of 2022. It stood alone for a few months until Breakstuffz built his viewing station right in front of it. Appalled by the audacity to build a structure so close to his statue, the house was moved to a spot closer to the shore, which kickstarted the building of the village a few months later. Currently, there is a viewing platform to the statue where the house originally stood before it was moved.

Copper Viewing Station

The Copper Viewing Station (THE HOUSE WHERE IT ALL BEGAN) is the first ever house built in the village and is the current residence of Breakstuffz. It has gone through several improvements and changes over the years, and is currently a fairly large house. It has three floors: First floor (which houses the kitchen and workshop), Second floor (which houses MEGABED [all 16 bed colors]), and the basement (Storage room and Nether Portal). It used to have a farm underneath the balcony, but this was removed when the building was extended to include the space underneath the balcony.

Copper Lighthouse

The Copper Lighthouse is currently the tallest structure in the village. It houses the beacon, which gives Haste II. In January, a green spiral was added around the beacon beam with a flying Breakstuffz at the top as the village was lacking air decoration. The lighthouse currently has received little changes since its building in March 2023.

Copper Bridge

The Copper Bridge is a 118-block long bridge that is currently the longest bridge in the 14spawn area. Just like the lighthouse, it is mainly made of Oak Wood and Stone, with Chains to act as cables. It is the final spot before the Train Station for the Copper Railway when you enter in the village from there. It connects the Peninsular and the Coal Subdivisions.

Town Hall

The Town Hall is the current place for the Assistant Mayor and the Village Council. Meetings are held here in the conference area in the first floor, and the Assistant Mayor's office is held in the tower to the left of the Main Building (the Assistant Mayor owns the whole tower and can change the inside however they like, sort of how the US president can change the Oval Office to their liking when they are elected). Voting for the Assistant Mayor also takes place in the Town Hall.

Other Buildings

Copper Church

The Copper Church is a Catholic Church located in the central part of the Peninsular Subdivision. It contains a lectern with the Nicene Creed in it. It received a major renovation in February 2026. It currently can seat 12 people in its pews.

The Windmill

The Windmill is a windmill overlooking the small farm at the top of the Peninsular Subdivision. It received a major renovation in February 2026.

Train Station

The train station is either the starting point or the end point of the Copper Railway depending on where you go.

Games and Rides (Tradition Amusement Park)

4 Corners

3 players-MAX

One player is the referee and stands on top of the platform. Other players choose a color they want and stand on it. Then, the referee presses a button that dispenses a block. If the block given is the same color you are standing on, you are out. Last player standing wins

ALTERNATIVE Two Player Game

One player is up top and another is at the bottom. Every time the player at the bottom doesn't get "out", they get a point. Once they get the same color they're standing on, the players switch. The one with the most points wins.

Ant Farm Parkour

1 Player

Its just a parkour course, but flat. Pretty amusing to watch.

Boat Fishing

2 Players

One player is the boater, one is the fisher. Once the fisher presses the button, the boater can move around. If the fisher hooks the boater before time runs out, the fisher wins. If time runs out and the fisher still hasn't hooked the boater, the boater wins.

Spleef

3-5 Players

One player stands up top the glass platform and the others are down below. Players are only allowed to use unenchanted diamond shovels. Once the button is pressed, the players will start breaking blocks. Last player on the platform wins. (PLEASE replace the blocks after you are done!)

Run & Shoot

3 Players

One player is the referee. Two players will stand on the crying obsidian facing the course. When the referee pushes the button, the players start racing through a parkour course, eventually going into a shooting range. First player to hit the redstone lamp in the range and light it up wins.

Lighthouse Coaster

1 Player

Just a cool rollercoaster.

Yeeter

2-13 Players

One player is the operator, and the rest sit in a minecart. Upon the flick of a lever, the players would be launched up to the top of the structure. After the laver is pressed again, the players are let back down. Rails are provided to replace the minecarts as a plugin in the server has minecarts deleted and put in the inventory once a player gets off.

Grand Principality

The "Grand Principality" part of Copper Village is very recent. As the village has expanded enough to have over 50 players claim a house, a new title would need to be made to officiate the village as an actual political entity and not just a regular village. Thus, The Grand Principality of Copper Village was born in March 2026. This does not take away the "village" part of Copper Village, as no matter how much the village expands, it will still always be referred to as such. With this new title, other honorary titles were given to officiate the moving of the village into a new kingdom-like place. Examples include:

Flag

The Flag of Copper Village consists of two green columns with an orange one in between, with a blue star dead in the center of it. Both the orange and green represent copper, and the blue represents Copper Lake, where the village calls home.

Coppy

Coppy is a Happy Ghast who has an honorary title in the village. He was born in February 2026, and wears an orange harness. His name "Coppy" is a combination of "Copper" and "Happy". He currently roams around free and likes to look at the buildings around the village. He is owned by Breakstuffz, and it is also his favorite mob. Be sure to say hi to him or fly on him when you visit!
